Higher Ed Live – Men and Masculinities

Last week, I had the wonderful opportunity to guest host the Student Affairs Live edition of Higher Ed Live. Thanks to regular host Heather Shea Gasser for inviting me to host while she was out of the country. I invited four folks who I have and continue to learn from on this and many other topics that are important to me; Tracy Davis, Rachel Wagner, Wilson Okello, and Dan Tillapaugh. Unfortunately, Rachel had flight issues and wasn’t able to join us but her wisdom was present nevertheless. Thanks to Erica Thompson for her great background and Twitter support.

Thanks to the panelists for deep conversations about men and masculinities, Brock Turner rape case and the roots of sexual violence, intersectionality, troubling the gender binary and trans* men and gender non-conforming folks, liberation pedagogy, compassion and critique, and scholars who inspire.
