This is my second visited post this year. This remains one of my favorites because of Natalie Allen’s mind map. I also presented with with Hilary Lichterman and Amanda Knerr on this for presentations at ACPA and NASPA respectively on Mindful Leadership using the 8 Pillars of Joy as an organizer. I am often asked by folks about topic. Finally, I wrote down some of my common suggestions and reminders here. This is useful whether you are considering keeping your primary job and adding a side hustle or seeking to develop something so you can leave your primary job and work independently. I’ve learned lots on this journey – some from my wise choices, some from the wisdom of others, and some from some really dumb mistakes.
