Almost 2 years ago, Drs. Brian Arao, Dawn Lee, and I launched Evolve Your Leadership Voice as a leadership capacity-building experience focused on leading for equity. Higher education leaders who have participated in Evolve tell us what a transformative experience this has been, describing it as one of the best professional development experiences of their career and explaining how they apply what they are getting from Evolve far beyond leading for equity. As a result, Evolve is evolving.
We are excited to announce the Evolve Institute for Higher Education Leadership, focused on courageous leadership to reimagine higher education.
The Evolve Institute will offer a series of leadership coaching journeys for leaders at various levels/foci:
- Summit: Executive Leadership for VPs, Provost, Presidents, Chancellors, and such.
- Ascent: Emerging Executive Leadership for AVP, Vice Provost, Dean, and such.
- Base Camp: Emerging Leadership for Executive Director, Director, Chair, and such.
- Elevate: Leading for Equity for leaders looking to be more effective leading for equity.
We will offer all four of these leadership coaching journeys in various engagement formats:
- for individual leaders (online)
- for leadership teams (hybrid)
- and in concise essentials versions.

We are also excited to add content specifically designed to help leaders at different levels meet the moment as leaders for themselves, their institutions, the people they lead, and all of us.
