From Campus Roles to Independent Work

Have you ever thought about expanding your impact beyond your campus, perhaps by starting a side hustle or eventually working for yourself full-time? Maybe you’ve already started planning this move and want to make sure you’re doing it wisely, for yourself and those who depend on you.

This is the number one reason folks reach out to me to “pick your brain” or “have coffee.” I love these conversations. After 15 years of working on a college campus and running my own side hustle, I moved to working for myself 11 years ago. While I’ve never looked back, I have learned a lot from failures, successes, and some mentoring and guidance. For the first time, I’m offering to help guide others through this transition. If you’ve ever dreamed about expanding your impact beyond a single campus, these offerings will empower you to do so smartly with integrity and authenticity.

In December and January, I’ll offer a 4-session Sprint to help you explore your Content and Way, plan a smart Launch, and run a simple, sustainable Business Operation. Sprint participants can then join a 4-month Runway of group coaching to guide them through the process. Individual coaching is also an option for participants.

Benefits

Participants will leave with clarity about what’s right for them, confidence that they can do this, competence to run a smart and sustainable practice, and conviction to move forward.

Clarity
“I’m just not sure if this is right for me.” Good. This isn’t the right move for everyone, but it might be the right move for you. This experience will help you move from an idea you ponder on the tough days to a real-life test case you can explore thoroughly and decide if this is the right move for you (or not) and how you want to make it.

Confidence
“This is too risky. I’m too afraid to make the leap.” Making a smart transition can help reduce the risk and put the fear into perspective. By making smart choices with guidance from an experienced leader and learning from others’ journeys, you can make this a wise move for you and those who depend on you.

Competence
“I’m not sure I can run my own business.” You don’t need an MBA to run a simple solo practice. In fact, keeping it simple, streamlined, and efficient will allow you to focus on serving and living a life even more aligned with your values.

Conviction
“I hate selling anything, especially myself.” None of us wants to be a shady influencer posting pictures of every meal we have on Instagram. In fact, doing so will undermine your brand and positioning. You can make the move with integrity and authenticity, partnering with people and organizations to expand your impact. When this is your belief and focus, inviting people to work with you feels misaligned.

Join Me & Share

Over the years, so many people have asked about this, and I’m thrilled to finally share what I’ve learned to help others make this transition with purpose and clarity. I hope you’ll join me for the free workshop and take the first step toward expanding your impact beyond your campus. If you know others who might be interested, please share.
